Dear Families,
It was great to touch base about your child's progress at conferences this week. Thank you for taking time to discuss the many successes your child is having at school.
In math, we are jumping in to learning about fractions. This is a fun unit where we explore denominators and numerators and learn how to compare fractions. We have also started the work of finding equivalent fractions.
Reminders:
Writing Celebration-Next week Tuesday we will have our Realistic Fiction Writing Celebration. We are planning to make "forts" with blankets and sheets and read inside the forts. Students may bring materials for fort making such as:

I am also hoping to have some type of "s'more" treat for this celebration. If you are willing to send in one of these components please let me know, or just send it with your child on Monday.
-honey graham cereal
-mini marshmallows
-chocolate chips
-drinks
