This week we had our 3rd grade marketplace! Hopefully your child shared their successes as they journeyed through the entrepreneurial process. All were happy to come out of the stores with a profit! Check out the pictures below from our exciting day. Also, we will be studying economics throughout next week. I am still hoping for a few special visitors to discuss their jobs and the economics that are involved. Please email if you are willing to come for 20 minutes to talk with our class!

1. Tell me about your marketplace. Was your business successful? What is a successful business?
2. How are your bookclubs going? Do you enjoy the book? What makes reading the same book with others enjoyable?
3. Explain how to find area and perimeter of an object. Sing your area and perimeter songs.
4. How are you feeling about your nightly homework? Are you consistently reading your 20 minutes? Are you practicing flashcards nightly?
5. If you were a teacher, what would you assign for nightly homework?
What we learned this week:
Writing-
I can publish my realistic fiction piece.
I can use technology skills to type, use word processing, and edit and revise my piece.
Math-
I can calculate area and perimeter of rectangles.
I can calculate area and perimeter of complex figures.
