So many great things are coming up in 4th grade, all before the holiday break. Please read below for all of the details! I look forward to seeing you all at the Holiday Music Program, this coming Tuesday night!
Reminders-
Holiday Program- December 12- Students to be in room at Fellowship Church at 7:15pm. 3rd through 5th grade program starts at 7:30 and should be finished around 8:10. Please pick up your child in the same room in basement. Looking forward to this great event!
Gingerbread Houses-We will make gingerbread houses on Thursday 12/21 in the morning.
Please send donations of:
-graham crackers-(need about 4 boxes)
-white canned frosting (need 6 cans total)
-m&ms, any kind
-candy canes
-skittles
-life savers
-pull and peel twizzlers
-nacco waffers
-gum drops
-any colorful sprinkles
-any other colorful candies not listed here
Christmas Reader's Theater Performance-Parents are welcome to attend our class Reader's Theater performances on Wednesday 12/20. This will be at 12:30 with hopes that some parents can attend over their lunch hour and will last about 45 mins. Each student is involved in 2 or more performances. Grandparents are also welcome to attend, but please let me know if you will have more than 2 people so I can have enough chairs :)
Christmas Party-THURSDAY 12/21 in the afternoon. Parents are welcome to attend for games and snacks from 2:30-3:30.

What we learned this week-
Reading-
I can analyze a complex plot. (We are reading The Lion, the Witch, and the Wardrobe and wonderful discussion has come from this so far. We are excited to celebrate by watching the movie before break. I am looking for Turkish Delight for the class to sample. If you have seen this in any stores, will you please let me know, or snag us a box and send it in??)
Writing-
I can plan my opinion essay.
Science-We are finished with Social Studies curriculum for the school year and now focusing on Science units. Our first unit in Science is called "Built for Survival" and focuses on plant structures/functions and animal
I can analyze external plant structures.
Math-
I can show what I know about long division.
We started Unit 4 today-which has many Algebra concepts!
