Dear Families,
Welcome back from Spring Break! We have accomplished a lot as we get back into the swing of things here at school. You may notice your child making some choices to "go green" as we learn about and study the affect that humans have on our environment. We have discussed how small changes can make a BIG impact on the Earth and there are many ways to reduce, reuse, and recycle. Thank you for your help encouraging this at home and even becoming involved with the excitement. Check out the pictures below from our Park Pride #PESbettertogether clean up today!!

Reminders:
Recycling Projects-We will continue to collect materials for projects (water bottles, sharpies, bottle tops, berry containers, magazines, etc) through next week Wednesday. We will create art on Friday, 4/21. If you can help with art or Earth Day smoothies from 12:20-2:10 please let me know! We are need of ingredients for smoothies. If you are willing to head up this smoothie snack, please let me know. I can bring my Ninja, but it would be helpful to have 2 blenders. Here is the link to the recipe. This was a highlight for students in the past, I know this group will LOVE the activity! They may even discover that they like a healthy snack more than they thought!!
-frozen blueberries
-bannanas (peeled and halved, frozen work best)
-spinach (1 small package is plenty)
-vanilla yogurt
-1/2 gallon of milk-any kind
-clear plastic cups

We will be reading, researching and preparing most requirements during class time, but I want you to be aware of a few things that will need to be prepared at home. Here is an outline of our project
