Dear Families,
We had a fun party celebrating Valentine's Day on Tuesday. Thank you to those who contributed to our party! These lucky 3rd graders enjoyed chocolate covered strawberries AND treats with heart shaped strawberries! We played games throughout the day and handed out valentines at the end of the day to top it all off! Picture highlights above!
Reminders:
March 10-Early release day
What we learned this week:
Writing-
I can generate ideas for realistic fiction.
I can plot my storyline on a story mountain.
Math-
I can write related addition and subtraction word problems.
I can show what I know about place value, rounding, addiction and subtraction. (Test was Thursday, expect to see in home folders soon. Please sign and return after going over results with your child.)
Reading-
I can display my learning on a eye catching display.
I can present my expertise with confidence and clarity.
Science-
We will be taking a break from new Science units while we focus on Social Studies concepts. Our next unit will be on recycling, starting in April.
Social Studies-
I can formulate a business plan using capital, natural, and human resources.
I can identify various economics terms.
I hope you enjoyed the sunshine this weekend!
